- Energy I feel is the essence of all processes in the cosmos. And all uses of art are somewhere somehow connected to the same essence. Whichever the form---painting, sculpture, music, dance, poetry---the artist attempts to hold and give a shape to the manifestation of energy. My paintings are not a replica of the outer world. They are the natural outcome of my innermost world. I am an experimentalist. I keep on depicting the ever
self-innovating patterns in colours, strokes, forms and texture.
On the basis of the monochromatic I reach its opposite---the multichromatic world. The remembrance of the world of my own self---I bring into them constituents of desert---sand dunes, cacti, burning stones and the black sun, a source of limitless energy. Through these I experience something that can be called ‘spiritual’. Just as an idol is inspired with prana before being worshipped, the painter too breathes his prana into his work. In short, I want to create a pure world of my own self owing its existence to its own texture and fabric.
My paintings are not explosion s of any kind of ideology, artistic or socio-political, ancient ,medieval, modern ,post –modern, eastern or western .They are poems calligraphed with light and shades of Aditya, the inner sun. Forms and texture are hardly are ever mimetic. They stay negs and frightens out of a life. They are the alphabets of another imaginative order or sill better ,seeds syllables of potential worlds out of ken .Full of unexpected: a sudden part of greenery in the desert and undreamed of diamond among stones ,a melodic note amidst noise and unique among the usual.
