- I came to know about it from my friend and fellow artist Dwijen Gupta
- About Me:
- I have been a journalist by profession but has pursued art as a serious activity. I am a self-taught painter and have held half a dozen solos and participated in many group shows. I am a member of "Calcutta Painters," one of India's oldest artists groups and regularly participate in its activities.

When, in March 2001, Taliban forces in Afghanistan struck at the famed Buddha statues at Bamiyan, they destroyed two wonderful pieces of art and the world was, naturally, shocked.
