Rituals represent, to an extent, the most significant cultural dialogue that we had before the specialisation that gave us artists, choreographers, composers etc and, as such, offer a more democratic conception of culture...an active culture of participants rather than a passive culture of consumers. We (in the West especially) need to re-visit this dialogue by reconnecting with the local and redefining our collective identity/ies and aspirations. That's what I'm trying to do in my work, as are many artists around the world. Keep it up!
