I am a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, as well as Aquinas College. For many years, I taught children in the school system of Brookline, Massachusetts. I was involved in several cooperative studios, and then became the assistant technician to the Clay Tech at Massachusetts College of Art. I was responsible for rebuilding and maintaining kilns, organizing and managing studio materials and facilities, as well as assisting the students.
I have participated in a large number of regional shows, auctions, and fairs throughout my years as a professional artist. Galleries as far as California have exhibited my sculptural clay work, as well as my pencil drawings.
I recently won first prize in sculpture and first prize for pastel as well as second prize for pencil twice at the Cape Cod Art Association, and third prize for pencil at the Duxbury Art Association.
In my earlier years, I was a recipient for blue ribbons at the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards as well as the Annual Outdoor Exhibit with the Plymouth Art Guild two years in a row.
I teach basic and advanced drawing at the Plymouth Campus of Quincy College, as well as art of all mediums to all ages at the Plymouth Guild Center for the Arts. I produce pottery for Salt Marsh Pottery, and also sell my work as well as draw portraits, landscapes, wall murals or any other form of art on commission.
I live in a bungalow in an estuary and bird sanctuary on a river with my soul mate. My favorite thing in the world is to walk along our garden, look into our fishpond, or watch the sunset from my studio window. I am constantly inspired by my environment, life, emotion, and color.
