About Me:

I was born in North Florida and have lived my life within 20 miles of where I was born. My husband and I have five living children and have lost one child. I was trained mostly by experience, but have had some professional training in art at nearby colleges, local artists and one correspondence course. My computer experience was acquired over a period of several years and my master's degree in Mathematics Education has be a great help in learning to utilize fractals in my artwork. I started drawing and painting as a small child. My mother was a cosmotologist and had a shop in our home. While she worked, she supplied my sister and I with a roll of butcher paper to draw on. We would roll out that paper the length of the house and draw all day, making our own paper dolls and their clothes. She also bought us other art supplies. We got a dollar almost every week to spend at the dime store. Art was not taught in our local schools, but the teachers recognized my talents and gave my sister and I many projects to work on that helped develop our talents. I wonder that without a pencil in my hand to sketch out my ideas as I think if I could have done as well. I am a member of some local artist organizations and show in the Florida Panhandle area and online.
