I am student who graduated with a Bsc. degree in Visual Communications. It involves communication through visual arts, where we learn to create art in various media both traditional(painting, drawing, sketching) and digital(illustrations, graphic design, etc.). I would like to pursue a Master of Arts program in Fine Arts because I am very interested in illustration. I like to represent cultural communication through my illustrations. I would like to learn fine arts so that I can also further improve on my existing drawing skills as well gain different perspectives into the ways of looking at visual art forms. That is also because I feel culture and art are strongly inter-connected and studying them can help me create new artistic cultures of my own, as an artist. I feel that since China also like India, is quite an ancient civilization with a vast degree of cultural heritage, it would be good for me to examine and study the environment as an artist.
hello, i came across this page when i was browsing through the net. I also intend on going to China to study art. I would like to know what are the criteria that they look for when you go in for admissions...
Sorry Ritwij,I was late replying. It's a roller coster(?) ride right now. Anyway ,here we are. Santiniketan, especially kala bhavan ,is very happening right now. We are celebrating mani da's 85th birthday. There are cultural programs every evening. Seagul foundation has arranged Manida 's exhibition opening on 5th at nandan gallery. Saraswati puja has already taken its share! you know why i say this. The slum people are celebrating it with their own choice of music! Hope you and Sunipa are doing fine.
