Hi
I think I was born with a brush, I don't know what else I would be if not an artist. My work revolves around the mysteries of the feminine form, the more i work on it the more interesting it gets for me.
I believe a woman is beautiful in every mood, in sorrow and in solitude.
I do oil and acrylic on canvas and sometime charcoal drawings. I doodle while I talk, work, and sleep.
I have been an Advertising professional and Designer for the last 12 years.
Have uploaded quite a few of my work here.
Do let me know if anything interests you

Sharmistha...I think the Solitude paintings create for me a tangible sense of loneliness and I think it is both the facial expressions, the limited pallet and the way you use white around the figures that does it for me. One of them, for me, reads "fear in loneliness" given her expression. Two of them are deeply sensual, particularly the blue-green women in the red forest...I think it is for me partly due to the fact that they aren't bare-all figures, but most definitely the contrast of the red and blue with her figure in the midst of it all. The "At Sea" painting is fabulous.....the dark brooding sea and sky with than misty yellow light have a haunting effect on me. That one sail shape adds a sort of edginess like a dagger cutting through the scene...love it. Your forest paintings have a sort of somber effect on me.....maybe because of the low key and the limited pallet... they remind of the French impressionists. I really love the way you have created the illusion of light in them...very attractive. So, there.......I tried my best to get beyond generalities. It's always nice to try to capture in words what is seen....it just creates a more intimate connection with the eyes. I am always interested in that process.....Thanx for the opportunity.
