If you're an artist, what kind of art do you make?
Design and Handcraft jewelry
About Me:
I studied Jewelry Design at the External Studies department at the Wizo Academy of Design in Haifa Israel, and the Ort Technology Centre in Tel-Aviv and then continued privately with some of the best tutors in Israel.
I design and create jewelry in silver and gold combined with semi-precious stones or precious gems. I also use silver combined with gold and ancient and beach glass. Many of my items are hammered in the repousse' technique (hammered on top of a bowl of pitch) which gives them a three-dimensional or a sculptural effect. Some of my designs are symmetrical, such as geometrical shapes, hearts, butterflies or leaves, but I also like using asymmetrical shapes.
Most of my items are either one of a kind items or limited edition items.
Dear Irith,
Ah yes, the antics of the cat can be so amusing... and, at times, they often seem to know the exact mood to display to make us happy or to assure us "all will be well". They can switch their mood and appear to be totally disinterested in us or anything that effects us. What makes cats so endearing to me (to us all, perhaps?) is no matter how domesticated we might think the cat is - it is only partly domesticated. Half of this delightful creature is a skilled hunter and a swift killer. But such charm.... can you think of another animal that makes us smile, or laugh, at the sight of a half consumed bird or rabbit left at the font door as a "little gift" for us? I didn't think so.
I am happy to be able to show you a small collection of my work completed during the period between 1990 and 2007. You should be taken to "My Page" on Art Review by clicking on the following link:

Looking forward to hearing again from you one day soon. Until then continue working!
It would be a pleasure to have you as a friend. Thank you for mentioning my feeling about the Oaks. Sometime I will post the complete story of being a child of the forest and how that has effected my entire life (so far!).
Your jewelry speaks to me of the earth. The stones you use certainly are apart of the bones of the earth. The brightness of the colors & easy flow of the shapes, I feel certain, are the direct result of your relationship and technique brought to each piece of jewelry... thus giving the owner (or person wearing the jewelry) the feeling, as well as the look, that they could belong to no other person. Quite good, Irith!
